About the Shine The Shine Award Hand-forged by renowned automotive artist Steve Posson, the Mothers Shine Award honors uncompromising excellence in motor vehicle design. In addition to the Shine Award, ten category-specific Mothers Choice Awards recognize select vehicles who stand above the rest in their given class. All winners are selected at the annual Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) show in Las Vegas by an impartial, third-party panel of judges, comprised of well-respected members of the automotive aftermarket industry. Thousands of vehicles will compete for the Shine Award, but only one will take home the coveted prize.
