Dear Formula 1 fans… Wow.
We are truly humbled.
The outpouring of support we've received from F1 fans thanking us for our commercial-free coverage on ESPN over the past five years has been as incredible as it is unexpected. And now, we're feeling inspired to try and match the gratitude of all our fellow fans of F1 and newfound fans of Mothers.
So "thank you" to LT Martin A J., F1 enthusiast and Mag & Aluminum Polish user, we appreciate your kind words and your service to our country. And to Michael A., for recommending us to your friends! To British expat, Byron W. Jr, we're glad to have you as a new “fan for life.” To Janul S., we hope that our absence won't make you feel too “weird” for too long. And to Mr. Grahame BW, we're happy we helped keep you connected to your home country. And to Josh D., Gene S., Phil D., Daniel N., David N. (no relation to the aforementioned Daniel N.), and all the other F1 fans who took time to reach out—we thank you all for your support.
As David S., of Dublin, OH pointed out in his email: our departure from ESPN’s coverage was, for the most part, beyond our control. As a family-owned and American-born business, it’s challenging for Mothers to keep up with the substantial increase for the rights to the broadcast coverage, an unfortunate circumstance of our own innovation and success. Success that we’re proud to say, helped lead to the spectacular rise of Formula 1 popularity in the US over the past several years.
But while our sponsorship comes to a close, our passion for F1 never will. We’ll continue to follow every start, turn, straight, overtake, and podium on the schedule, no matter who sponsors it. We look forward to experiencing the wheel-to-wheel action right there alongside our fellow F1 fans and Mothers Polish customers.
